Savile Row brand E.Tautz showcases some of my backstage Photography on their home page

I'ts strange where I end up sometimes, but I'm always up for shooting some great men's fashion, especially if its an offering from well established and revered House of E.Tautz on Savile Row. It was a true pleasure to shoot the behind the scenes shots of one of their more recent shows at the Savoy Hotel London. The immaculately tailored suits, shirts and plush leather were complimented by the equally splendid setting of the Savoy London.

Check out their new look site and be welcomed by some of my shots, from the show.

I can’t eat shoots so I’ll leave | Stuart Sandford

Acclaimed photographer Stuart Sandford explains why he’s hanging up his camera for good

A friend sent me this link and I was intrigued by the Title 'I can’t eat shoots so I’ll leave' which is a monologue from the photographer Stuart Sandford on how he has come to the decision to give up his role as a photographer after years of commercial and artistic success.

"Part of the decision to call it a day is that I think I’ve said everything I ever wanted to say with photography and, in fact, probably said it with the first photoshoot I ever did in 2004"

"It’s tough as hell out there in the art and photography worlds to make an impact because so many people these days are doing it. Print magazines and newspapers are declining rapidly and slashing budgets accordingly and in the process doing away with their photography departments. There’s nothing unusual these days to have a photography editor at a newspaper or magazine with no photography staff on board."

Jay Kay of Jamiroquai in Mayfair London 3/2/12

Great to run into Jamiroquai front man Jay Kay, in London Mayfair yesterday.
Stylish from head to toe and in the right mood to meet his fans. He joked and posed for pictures in front of his exquisite vintage Bentley, which had just as many fans as the man himself.

New Interview - Kanye West speaks his mind November 5, 2010 (Part 2)

Like most people who saw Kanye west steal the limelight from the then 19 year old Taylor Swift during that infamous award show moment in 2007, I felt let down by his actions but am now ready to give the "Goldigger" star a second chance and lend him my ears again. He has had time to reflect on his behaviour during his time in Showbiz exile, and now aims to bring a new maturity and depth to his music and short film work.

I enjoyed his passionate rant in this video.

Me, Wilf and the LEICA S2...

Having Known Wilf for some years, I was aware of his secret flare for fashion and brazen style choices. He's one of those hard to pin down characters, that you're always pleased to come across down the local pub for some colourful banter. Having lived an extremely varied and at times frivolously indulgent lifestyle, he is full of wild stories, cautionary tales and opinions on everything from the world class photographers he's built sets for over the years, to today’s politics and fine tailoring. He really is an extremely layered individual, who makes no apologies, and regrets very little of his 60 years on this planet.

So Wilf calls me one evening, interrupting his own night with friends and with a slight slur in his words, and asks if I’d be interested in taking his portrait. The opportunity to photograph a man like Wilf, who's face tells its own story was an opportunity I was relishing.

On the day of the shoot, a few weeks on from our conversation. Wilf keeps me waiting for 3 hours, but arrives at the studio looking immaculate, head to toe in Tartan, polished black shoes and a crisp white tailored shirt. I was truly pleased to see him living up to his reputation. he was greeted with a warm hand shake and a cold beer. His delayed arrival, meant that time was in short supply so we got right down to capturing some great shots. Leica S2 with 120mm & 70mm lenses.

Shooting for the Ozwald Boateng brand Presentation LFW 2011

This year I was asked by the Ozwald Boateng brand to shoot their 2011 LFW presentation on Savile Row. The models were a great bunch of young guys that really brought the looks to life.

Style Matters: Young Savile Row Shoot

I decided to use three models on this shoot, wearing a mix of Ozwald Boateng Savile Row items and some high street pieces. Thanks to Sarah O'keefe on hair and makeup, myself styling and photographing and stella work from the guys from Oxygen models Brett (in blue shirt and tie), Samuel (in green shirt and tie) and the youngest of the models Sebastien (in the pink shirt and aqua tie), we managed to produce a great set of shots.
